How to Keep Users from Unsubscribing to Your Mailing List

Having an effective email marketing strategy can be a major boost for any business. In fact, most businesses rely heavily on their mailing lists. They help generate sales leads. The ROI of using mailing lists is undeniable.
Sometimes, after you’ve built up your list of subscribers, you may find that your list begins to dwindle. Over time, you lose subscribers. Some consider this a natural progression and say there’s nothing you can do about this. That’s simply not true. Here’re some tips for keeping users from unsubscribing.
It Needs to Be Clear What Users Are Signing Up For
The first step is to make sure that you’re being clear about what your users are signing up for. When you use vague terms and catchy headlines to grab attention, you may get more subscribers. But, these subscribers aren’t likely to stick around. Use clear, concise calls to action.
Request Feedback from People That Unsubscribe
Another step that you can take is to request feedback. When a user visits your site or follows a link to unsubscribe from your mailing list, use a simple text field form to allow users to leave their feedback. Ask them why they’re leaving. Some users will simply skip this step, while others could leave valuable feedback.
Test the Frequency of Your Emails
You may be sending too many or too few emails. Test the frequency of your emails. Some users get annoyed if they receive too many emails, while sending too few may cause some users to forget about your business. In either case, they’re likely to unsubscribe.
Depending on the email marketing system you use, you may have access to A/B split testing. Use split testing. With one set, send your emails daily. With the other set, send one email per week. At the end of the week, look at the stats. Make changes to the frequency of your emails, based on the results.
Automate Your Emails to Increase Engagement
By automating some of the messages that you’d send to subscribers, you might increase engagement. This includes the use of welcome emails, notifications, and other generic mailers. If a user subscribes to your mailing list, they should automatically receive a welcome or thank you message.
Set a Schedule for Your Emails
After you’ve tested the frequency of your emails, set a schedule and stick to it. If you’ve found that users are less likely to unsubscribe when sending weekly emails on a Monday — always send your emails on a Monday at the same time of the day.
Pay Attention to Inactive Subscribers
You should keep an eye on trends among your subscribers. For example, users that become inactive and stop opening emails are likely to unsubscribe in the near future. Set up a strategy for dealing with these inactive users.
You could setup an automated email to help re-engage the subscriber. This could include special offers, promotions, and other incentives to get them to remain on your mailing list.
Prevent Unsubscribing Errors
While unsubscribing on accident isn’t likely a major reason for a drop in your subscribers, it could play a part. Prevent unsubscribing errors by requiring people to confirm the fact that they want to unsubscribe. This gives them one last chance to change their mind and could save you a few subscribers.
Email marketing should be a major part of any marketing strategy. They’ve been proven to be effective. If you’re worried about the number of people unsubscribing from your mailing lists, use the tips provided. Marketing Your Own Personality to Drive Branding for Your Online Business

When you run an affiliate marketing business, long-term relationships are far more profitable than short-term revenues. In only a very limited number of cases is there high value to jumping into a hot market, making a big splash, then getting out as fast as you can.
In most cases, building long-term relationships with your customers in the end is the most rewarding strategy, both financially and in terms of your company’s reputation and brand.
If you consider your customers to be your friends, rather than simply your customers, you can improve the effectiveness of any marketing program.
Any time you contact your customers – whether via email, social media, in forums or anywhere else – you should try to personalize the experience as much as possible. Share details about your personal history and family life.
Give your customers the opportunity to develop a genuine emotional bond with you and offer them a vested interest in your success. This will result in a long, prosperous business relationship with a larger group of customers and it will help build your reputation online. Remember, that and you can continually grow your business for many years to come.
Putting Your Personality on the Squeeze Page
For example, how much is an email opt-in worth to you? In other words, when you get somebody to act on your squeeze page — they give you their email address in exchange for whatever high value, niche related content you are giving away for free — what does that mean in terms of cash business? A ballpark estimate is that each opt-in is worth about 50 cents to one dollar per month. And I would say that’s pretty conservative.
So if you have 1,000 opt-ins on a particular squeeze page per month, you can expect that to bring you at least $500 to $1,000 per month.
Every email opt-in you get, you put that person into your sales funnel. That means you are going to be sending them offers and affiliate product promotions interspersed with other high value content and personal information.
The Value of Customers
According to the industry average, each person on your list is worth about 75 cents per month to you.
Obviously, you can increase this average by promoting products people really want and by doing a great job nurturing interpersonal relationships with the people on your list.
Once people opt-in to your subscriptions list, ideally, you want to push your subscribers up your value ladder. This means that regardless of your niche, the purpose of the sales funnel is to push your customers so that they buy offers with bigger and bigger price tags.
You can promote these products using the multiple marketing platforms you have created, including your email subscriber list, social media, squeeze pages, article and forum marketing, and even paid marketing like CPC ads and Google Adwords. How prospects find your sales funnel is less important than what they do once they arrive there.
Gateway Offers
The gateway offer is the first product that you are going to ask your prospects to pay for. Your gateway offer promotion comes after any giveaway product from your squeeze page or elsewhere. The important aspect of the gateway offer is that it should have enormous perceived value for your prospects. In other words, you should over-deliver for what they are paying.
With digital products, it’s hard to lose money in distribution because you can re-sell the same product repeatedly without any additional production costs. Still, it should seem to your customers as if what they are getting with their gateway product is worth far, far more than what they are paying. One way to do this is to provide the highest quality products possible.
Offering your customers value and using your own personality and personal history to build relationships is vital to your success. How to Grow Your YouTube Following

The use of video marketing is becoming increasingly popular for entrepreneurs. The reason is simple. More people are using mobile devices and the videos are easier to view on these devices than reading a lengthy blog post.
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of competition on YouTube. Getting noticed isn’t always easy. But, with a few simple tips, you can begin increasing the number of followers that you’ve got on YouTube.
With more followers, your videos are more likely to get noticed. Here are several steps that you can take right now to begin growing your YouTube following.
Increase the Value of Your Videos
The first step is to increase the value of your videos. People won’t share videos that don’t provide any real value. You can’t just create a video introducing your business and hope to get thousands of views.
Each video needs to have a specific focus. It’s much like writing a quality blog post. In fact, you can recycle your most popular blog content into videos.
Whenever you write a script for a video, always ask yourself if you’d share this video with others. The video needs to offer some benefit to the viewer. You can provide instructions, demonstrations, or tips related to a specific topic.
Remain Consistent with Your Release Schedule
YouTube offers video recommendations based on what you’ve already watched. If you remain consistent with your release schedule, you’re more likely to gain new subscribers.
If a viewer watches one of your videos without following, YouTube may recommend another of your new videos as they’re released. This helps bring viewers back to your channel.
Whether you release one or four new videos each month, you should stick to a schedule. Decide which day of the week you’ll release your videos. Subscribers will know when to check back and your viewer retention rates will increase.
Ask People to Subscribe to Your Channel
Your videos should serve a specific purpose. As with your blog articles, the end of the video should include a call to action. You could tell viewers to follow a link or you can use this call to action to remind viewers to subscribe.
YouTube also provides the option to include an image or graphic to act as a clickable button overlay directly on top of your video. With this clickable button, you can include a link to subscribe to your YouTube channel.
Include a YouTube Widget on Your Website
You should also add a widget or link on your website that connects with your YouTube channel. Increase exposure to your channel by adding these features to your blog or business site.
If you use WordPress, you can find numerous widgets and plugins that allow you to add YouTube videos to your site. You could also add a YouTube subscribe button on your site.
Become a Featured YouTube Channel
You have the option to add “Featured Channels” to your YouTube channel. These are channels that you follow and recommend your followers to follow.
By getting these other channels to recommend you to their followers, you can boost exposure. There are two ways to go about this.
You can either directly ask a channel to add you or you can start following them. There is no guarantee that the other channel will follow you, but it’s still worth the effort.
Interact with People That Comment on Your Videos
You shouldn’t ignore the comments on your videos. Actively respond to these comments. People may leave a comment without following. After responding, they might rethink their decision and start following your channel.
Increasing your YouTube following is one method for improving your online presence. If you’d like to gain access to more internet marketing tips, and a way to generate new sales leads, then click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

3 Tips For Generating Leads

Are you doing everything possible to get your visitors to subscribe?

You created unique content and sent the traffic, but those stubborn visitors of yours still aren't subscribing? Well, here are a couple things you ought to try. They are simple and straight to the point.

1. Insert subscriber boxes in headers, footers, and sidebars of EVERY page.

The more your subscriber box is placed on a page, the better. There are certain spots that the average visitor, of your page, will look. Normally, they will look at your logo, menu, and the login area if you have one. Try placing your subscriber box in these key areas to generate more leads.

2. Outline the box in red

I recently read an article about Facebook advertisement and how to increase the click-through rate of your ads. It said that if you outline your ad in red or any other bright, attention-grabbing color, it would increase the click-through rate of your ad. This tip seemed rhetorical and I thought, "why didn't I think of that?" You are probably thinking the same... Anyways, I added a red outline around my Facebook banner ad, and sure enough, it increased my click-through rates. As you may have predicted, I applied this same concept to my subscriber boxes and it worked! Try it!

3. Send targeted traffic
If you are one of those people that believe in "the more, the merrier" when it comes to sending traffic to your website, then you probably are also seeking ways to increase your conversions. I don't know what you may have heard, but the last thing you want to do is send people, who are not interested in your offer, to your site. Work on sending ONLY those who are passionate about your niche. This will not only increase your conversions, but your "opt in"/ subscriber rate as well giving you more quality leads.

4. *Bonus*

I enjoy providing value to my viewers, so I tend to over deliver. While writing this article for you, I also thought of one more tip. Here it is...

To generate more leads it is important to let your viewers know where to go to subscribe, and also what information they will miss out on if they don't. You can do so by simply referring to it in your posts, as well as, adding a call to action.

To people like you and I, who created the page, it can seem like a given to know where the subscriber box is and what information it has to offer. Remember to take a moment to step into your viewer's shoes. You will be surprised of the things you think of to enhance your business.
